85 Milostiv si bio svojoj zemlji, BOŽE.
Jakovljevom narodu vratio si blagostanje.
2 Uklonio si krivnju svog naroda,
pokrio sve njegove grijehe. Selah
3 Sklonio si svu svoju srdžbu
i odustao od svoje ljutnje.
4 Obnovi nas, Bože, naš Spasitelju,
i okončaj svoj gnjev prema nama.
5 Zar ćeš se zauvijek na nas ljutiti?
Hoće li se tvoj gnjev protezati kroz sve naraštaje?
6 Nećeš li nas ponovo oživjeti,
da se tvoj narod raduje u tebi?
7 Pokaži nam svoju ljubav, BOŽE,
i daj nam svoje spasenje.
8 Želim čuti što BOG govori
jer obećava mir svom narodu
i svim vjernima—
samo da se ne vrate svojim ludostima.
9 Da, njegovo spasenje je blizu
svima koji ga se boje.
Ponovo će se Božja slava
nastaniti u našoj zemlji.
10 Sastat će se ljubav i istina,
poljubiti pravednost i mir.
11 Istina će niknuti iz zemlje,
a pravednost gledati s neba.
12 BOG će dati ono što je dobro
i naša zemlja dat će svoj rod.
13 Pravednost će ići pred njim
i pripremiti mu put za dolazak.

Prayer that the Lord Will Restore Favor to the Land
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm (A)of the sons of Korah.
85 Lord, You have been favorable to Your land;
You have (B)brought back the captivity of Jacob.
2 You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people;
You have covered all their sin. Selah
3 You have taken away all Your wrath;
You have turned from the fierceness of Your anger.
4 (C)Restore us, O God of our salvation,
And cause Your anger toward us to cease.
5 (D)Will You be angry with us forever?
Will You prolong Your anger to all generations?
6 Will You not (E)revive us again,
That Your people may rejoice in You?
7 Show us Your mercy, Lord,
And grant us Your salvation.
8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak,
For He will speak peace
To His people and to His saints;
But let them not turn back to [a]folly.
9 Surely (F)His salvation is near to those who fear Him,
(G)That glory may dwell in our land.
10 Mercy and truth have met together;
(H)Righteousness and peace have kissed.
11 Truth shall spring out of the earth,
And righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12 (I)Yes, the Lord will give what is good;
And our land will yield its increase.
13 Righteousness will go before Him,
And shall make His footsteps our pathway.

Revive Us Again

85 Lord, you were (B)favorable to your land;
you (C)restored the fortunes of Jacob.
2 You (D)forgave the iniquity of your people;
you (E)covered all their sin. Selah
3 You withdrew all your wrath;
you (F)turned from your hot anger.
4 (G)Restore us again, O God of our salvation,
and put away your indignation toward us!
5 (H)Will you be angry with us forever?
Will you prolong your anger to all generations?
6 Will you not (I)revive us again,
that your people may (J)rejoice in you?
7 Show us your steadfast love, O Lord,
and grant us your salvation.
8 (K)Let me hear what God the Lord will speak,
for he will (L)speak peace to his people, to his (M)saints;
but let them not (N)turn back to (O)folly.
9 Surely his (P)salvation is near to those who fear him,
that (Q)glory may dwell in our land.
10 (R)Steadfast love and faithfulness meet;
(S)righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs up from the ground,
and righteousness looks down from the sky.
