⁵Surely I was sinful^(A) at birth,^(B)
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
⁶Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
you taught me wisdom^(C) in that secret place.^(D)

⁷Cleanse^(E) me with hyssop,^(F) and I will be clean;
