^12 (A)So teach us to number our days
    that we may get a heart of wisdom.
^13 (B)Return, O Lord! ^(C)How long?
    Have ^(D)pity on your servants!
¹⁴ Satisfy us in the ^(E)morning with your steadfast love,
    that we may ^(F)rejoice and be glad all our days.
¹⁵ Make us glad for as many days as you have ^(G)afflicted us,
    and for as many years as we have seen evil.
¹⁶ Let your ^(H)work be shown to your servants,
    and your glorious power to their children.
¹⁷ Let the ^(I)favor^[a] of the Lord our God be upon us,
    and establish ^(J)the work of our hands upon us;
    yes, establish the work of our hands!

^6 (A)Seek the Lord and live,
    ^(B)lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph,
    and it devour, with none to quench it for ^(C)Bethel,
⁷ O ^(D)you who turn justice to wormwood^[a]
    and cast down righteousness to the earth!

^10 (A)They hate him who reproves ^(B)in the gate,
    and they ^(C)abhor him who speaks the truth.
¹¹ Therefore because you ^(D)trample on^[a] the poor
    and you exact taxes of grain from him,
^(E)you have built houses of hewn stone,
    but you shall not dwell in them;
^(F)you have planted pleasant vineyards,
    but you shall not drink their wine.
¹² For I know how many are your transgressions
    and how great are your sins—
you who afflict the righteous, who ^(G)take a bribe,
    and ^(H)turn aside the needy ^(I)in the gate.
¹³ Therefore he who is prudent will ^(J)keep silent in such a time,
    ^(K)for it is an evil time.

^14 (L)Seek good, and not evil,
    that you may live;
and so the Lord, ^(M)the God of hosts, will be with you,
    as you have said.
^15 (N)Hate evil, and love good,
    and establish justice ^(O)in the gate;
^(P)it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts,
    will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

^(E)“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
