⁵ The ^(J)heavens will praise Your wonders, O Lord;
Your faithfulness also ^(K)in the assembly of the ^(L)holy ones.
⁶ For ^(M)who in the skies is comparable to the Lord?
Who among the ^[e](N)sons of the mighty is like the Lord,
⁷ A God ^(O)greatly feared in the council of the ^(P)holy ones,
And ^(Q)awesome above all those who are around Him?
⁸ O Lord God of hosts, ^(R)who is like You, O mighty ^[f]Lord?
Your faithfulness also surrounds You.
⁹ You rule the swelling of the sea;
When its waves rise, You ^(S)still them.
¹⁰ You Yourself crushed ^[g](T)Rahab like one who is slain;
You ^(U)scattered Your enemies with ^[h]Your mighty arm.

¹¹ The ^(V)heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours;
The ^(W)world and ^[i]all it contains, You have founded them.
¹² The ^(X)north and the south, You have created them;
^(Y)Tabor and ^(Z)Hermon ^(AA)shout for joy at Your name.
¹³ You have ^[j]a strong arm;
Your hand is mighty, Your ^(AB)right hand is exalted.
^14 (AC)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;
^(AD)Lovingkindness and ^[k]truth go before You.
¹⁵ How blessed are the people who know the ^[l](AE)joyful sound!
O Lord, they walk in the ^(AF)light of Your countenance.
¹⁶ In ^(AG)Your name they rejoice all the day,
And by Your righteousness they are exalted.
¹⁷ For You are the glory of ^(AH)their strength,
And by Your favor ^[m]our ^(AI)horn is exalted.
¹⁸ For our ^(AJ)shield belongs to the Lord,
^[n]And our king to the ^(AK)Holy One of Israel.

^19 [o]Once You spoke in vision to Your godly ^[p]ones,
And said, “I have ^[q]given help to one who is ^(AL)mighty;
I have exalted one ^(AM)chosen from the people.
²⁰ “I have ^(AN)found David My servant;
With My holy ^(AO)oil I have anointed him,
²¹ With whom ^(AP)My hand will be established;
My arm also will ^(AQ)strengthen him.
²² “The enemy will not ^[r]deceive him,
Nor the ^[s](AR)son of wickedness afflict him.
²³ “But I shall ^(AS)crush his adversaries before him,
And strike those who hate him.
²⁴ “My ^(AT)faithfulness and My lovingkindness will be with him,
And in My name his ^(AU)horn will be exalted.
²⁵ “I shall also set his hand ^(AV)on the sea
And his right hand on the rivers.
²⁶ “He will cry to Me, ‘You are ^(AW)my Father,
My God, and the ^(AX)rock of my salvation.’
²⁷ “I also shall make him My ^(AY)firstborn,
The ^(AZ)highest of the kings of the earth.
²⁸ “My ^(BA)lovingkindness I will keep for him forever,
And My ^(BB)covenant shall be confirmed to him.
²⁹ “So I will establish his ^[t](BC)descendants forever
And his ^(BD)throne ^(BE)as the days of heaven.

³⁰ “If his sons ^(BF)forsake My law
And do not walk in My judgments,
³¹ If they ^[u]violate My statutes
And do not keep My commandments,
³² Then I will punish their transgression with the ^(BG)rod
And their iniquity with stripes.
³³ “But I will not break off ^(BH)My lovingkindness from him,
Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
³⁴ “My ^(BI)covenant I will not ^[v]violate,
Nor will I ^(BJ)alter ^[w]the utterance of My lips.
³⁵ “^[x]Once I have ^(BK)sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David.
³⁶ “His ^[y](BL)descendants shall endure forever
And his ^(BM)throne ^(BN)as the sun before Me.
³⁷ “It shall be established forever ^(BO)like the moon,
And the ^(BP)witness in the sky is faithful.” ^[z]Selah.

³⁸ But You have ^(BQ)cast off and ^(BR)rejected,
You have been full of wrath ^[aa]against Your ^(BS)anointed.
³⁹ You have ^(BT)spurned the covenant of Your servant;
You have ^(BU)profaned ^(BV)his crown ^[ab]in the dust.
⁴⁰ You have ^(BW)broken down all his walls;
You have ^(BX)brought his strongholds to ruin.
^41 (BY)All who pass along the way plunder him;
He has become a ^(BZ)reproach to his neighbors.
⁴² You have ^(CA)exalted the right hand of his adversaries;
You have ^(CB)made all his enemies rejoice.
⁴³ You also turn back the edge of his sword
And have ^(CC)not made him stand in battle.
⁴⁴ You have made his ^[ac](CD)splendor to cease
And cast his throne to the ground.
⁴⁵ You have ^(CE)shortened the days of his youth;
You have ^(CF)covered him with shame. Selah.

^46 (CG)How long, O Lord?
Will You hide Yourself forever?
Will Your ^(CH)wrath burn like fire?
^47 (CI)Remember ^[ad]what my span of life is;
For what ^(CJ)vanity ^[ae]You have created all the sons of men!
⁴⁸ What man can live and not ^(CK)see death?
Can he ^(CL)deliver his soul from the ^[af]power of ^[ag]Sheol? Selah.

⁴⁹ Where are Your former lovingkindnesses, O Lord,
Which You ^(CM)swore to David in Your faithfulness?
⁵⁰ Remember, O Lord, the ^(CN)reproach of Your servants;
^[ah]How I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the many peoples,
⁵¹ With which ^(CO)Your enemies have reproached, O Lord,
With which they have reproached the footsteps of ^(CP)Your anointed.

^[c](M)Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

^(Q)Tremble before Him, all the earth.
¹⁰ Say among the nations, “^(R)The Lord reigns;
Indeed, the ^(S)world is firmly established, it will not be moved;
He will ^(T)judge the peoples with ^[g]equity.”

¹¹ Let the ^(U)heavens be glad, and let the ^(V)earth rejoice;
Let ^(W)the sea ^[h]roar, and ^[i]all it contains;
¹² Let the ^(X)field exult, and all that is in it.
Then all the ^(Y)trees of the forest will sing for joy
¹³ Before the Lord, ^(Z)for He is coming,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
^(AA)He will judge the world in righteousness
And the peoples in His faithfulness.

⁴ Enter His gates ^(G)with ^[d]thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, ^(H)bless His name.
⁵ For ^(I)the Lord is good;
^(J)His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His ^(K)faithfulness to all generations.

⁶ My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a ^[k](T)blameless way is the one who will minister to me.
⁷ He who ^(U)practices deceit shall not dwell within my house;
He who speaks falsehood ^(V)shall not ^[l]maintain his position before me.
^8 (W)Every morning I will ^[m](X)destroy all the wicked of the land,
So as to ^(Y)cut off from the ^(Z)city of the Lord all those who do iniquity.

⁸ He has ^(O)remembered His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded to a ^(P)thousand generations,
⁹ The ^(Q)covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His ^(R)oath to Isaac.
¹⁰ Then He ^(S)confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
¹¹ Saying, “^(T)To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the ^[f](U)portion of your inheritance,”
¹² When they were only a ^(V)few men in number,
Very few, and ^(W)strangers in it.
¹³ And they wandered about from nation to nation,
From one kingdom to another people.
¹⁴ He ^(X)permitted no man to oppress them,
And He ^(Y)reproved kings for their sakes:
¹⁵ “^(Z)Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.”

¹⁶ And He ^(AA)called for a famine upon the land;
He ^(AB)broke the whole staff of bread.
¹⁷ He ^(AC)sent a man before them,
Joseph, who was ^(AD)sold as a slave.
¹⁸ They afflicted his ^(AE)feet with fetters,
^[g]He himself was laid in irons;
¹⁹ Until the time that his ^(AF)word came to pass,
The word of the Lord ^[h](AG)tested him.
²⁰ The ^(AH)king sent and released him,
The ruler of peoples, and set him free.
²¹ He ^(AI)made him lord of his house
And ruler over all his possessions,
²² To ^[i]imprison his princes ^[j](AJ)at will,
That he might teach his elders wisdom.
^23 (AK)Israel also came into Egypt;
Thus Jacob ^(AL)sojourned in the land of Ham.
²⁴ And He ^(AM)caused His people to be very fruitful,
And made them stronger than their adversaries.

²⁵ He ^(AN)turned their heart to hate His people,
To ^(AO)deal craftily with His servants.
²⁶ He ^(AP)sent Moses His servant,
And ^(AQ)Aaron, whom He had chosen.
²⁷ They ^[k](AR)performed His wondrous acts among them,
And miracles in the land of Ham.
²⁸ He ^(AS)sent darkness and made it dark;
And they did not ^(AT)rebel against His words.
²⁹ He ^(AU)turned their waters into blood
And caused their fish to die.
³⁰ Their land swarmed with ^(AV)frogs
Even in the ^(AW)chambers of their kings.
³¹ He spoke, and there came a ^(AX)swarm of flies
And ^(AY)gnats in all their territory.
³² He ^[l]gave them ^(AZ)hail for rain,
And flaming fire in their land.
³³ He ^(BA)struck down their vines also and their fig trees,
And shattered the trees of their territory.
³⁴ He spoke, and ^(BB)locusts came,
And young locusts, even without number,
³⁵ And ate up all vegetation in their land,
And ate up the fruit of their ground.
³⁶ He also ^(BC)struck down all the firstborn in their land,
The ^(BD)first fruits of all their vigor.

³⁷ Then He brought them out with ^(BE)silver and gold,
And among His tribes there was not one who stumbled.
³⁸ Egypt was ^(BF)glad when they departed,
For the ^(BG)dread of them had fallen upon them.
³⁹ He spread a ^(BH)cloud for a ^[m]covering,
And ^(BI)fire to illumine by night.
^40 [n]They ^(BJ)asked, and He brought ^(BK)quail,
And satisfied them with the ^[o](BL)bread of heaven.
⁴¹ He opened the ^[p]rock and ^(BM)water flowed out;
^[q]It ran in the dry places like a river.
⁴² For He ^(BN)remembered His holy word
With Abraham His servant;
⁴³ And He brought forth His people with joy,
His chosen ones with a joyful ^(BO)shout.
⁴⁴ He ^(BP)gave them also the lands of the ^[r]nations,
That they ^(BQ)might take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor,
⁴⁵ So that they might ^(BR)keep His statutes
And observe His laws,
^[s]Praise ^[t]the Lord!

⁶ Behold, we heard of it in ^(G)Ephrathah,
We found it in the ^(H)field of ^[d]Jaar.
⁷ Let us go into His ^[e](I)dwelling place;
Let us ^(J)worship at His ^(K)footstool.
^8 (L)Arise, O Lord, to Your ^(M)resting place,
You and the ark of Your ^(N)strength.
⁹ Let Your priests be ^(O)clothed with righteousness,
And let Your ^(P)godly ones sing for joy.

¹⁰ For the sake of David Your servant,
Do not turn away the face of Your ^(Q)anointed.
¹¹ The Lord has ^(R)sworn to David
A truth from which He will not turn back:
“^(S)Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne.
¹² “If your sons will keep My covenant
And My testimony which I will teach them,
Their sons also shall ^(T)sit upon your throne forever.”

¹³ For the Lord has ^(U)chosen Zion;
He has ^(V)desired it for His habitation.
¹⁴ “This is My ^(W)resting place forever;
Here I will ^(X)dwell, for I have desired it.
¹⁵ “I will abundantly ^(Y)bless her provision;
I will ^(Z)satisfy her needy with bread.
¹⁶ “Her ^(AA)priests also I will clothe with salvation,
And her ^(AB)godly ones will sing aloud for joy.
¹⁷ “There I will cause the ^(AC)horn of David to spring forth;
I have prepared a ^(AD)lamp for Mine anointed.
¹⁸ “His enemies I will ^(AE)clothe with shame,
But upon himself his ^(AF)crown shall shine.”
