Psalm 85:2-86:5

²You ^(A)forgave the iniquity of your people;
you ^(B)covered all their sin. Selah
³You withdrew all your wrath;
you ^(C)turned from your hot anger.

⁴^(D)Restore us again, O God of our salvation,
    and put away your indignation toward us!
⁵^(E)Will you be angry with us forever?
    Will you prolong your anger to all generations?
⁶Will you not ^(F)revive us again,
    that your people may ^(G)rejoice in you?
⁷Show us your steadfast love, O Lord,
    and grant us your salvation.

⁸^(H)Let me hear what God the Lord will speak,
    for he will ^(I)speak peace to his people, to his ^(J)saints;
    but let them not ^(K)turn back to ^(L)folly.
⁹Surely his ^(M)salvation is near to those who fear him,
    that ^(N)glory may dwell in our land.

¹⁰^(O)Steadfast love and faithfulness meet;
    ^(P)righteousness and peace kiss each other.
¹¹Faithfulness springs up from the ground,
    and righteousness looks down from the sky.
¹²Yes, ^(Q)the Lord will give what is good,
    and our land ^(R)will yield its increase.
¹³^(S)Righteousness will go before him
    and make his footsteps a way.

86 ^(U)Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me,
    for I am ^(V)poor and needy.
²Preserve my life, for I am ^(W)godly;
    save your servant, who ^(X)trusts in you—you are my God.
³^(Y)Be gracious to me, O Lord,
    for to you do I cry all the day.
⁴Gladden the soul of your servant,
    for ^(Z)to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
⁵For you, O Lord, are good and ^(AA)forgiving,
    ^(AB)abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
