⁸ For a ^(A)cup is in the hand of Yahweh, and the wine foams;
It is ^(B)full of His mixture, and He pours from this;
Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and ^(C)drink down its dregs.

²² Thus says your Lord, Yahweh, even your God
Who ^(A)contends for His people,
“Behold, I have taken out of your hand the ^(B)cup of reeling,
The ^[a]chalice of My wrath;
You will never drink it again.
²³ I will ^(C)set it into the hand of those who cause you grief,
Who have said to ^[b]you, ‘^(D)Lie down that we may walk over you.’
You have even set your back down like the ground
And like the street for those who walk over it.”
