Send Out Your Light and Your Truth

43 ^(A)Give justice to me, O God, and ^(B)plead my case against an unholy nation;
^[a]Oh protect me from ^(C)the deceitful and unrighteous man!
²For You are the ^(D)God of my strength; why have You ^(E)rejected me?
Why do I go ^(F)mourning ^[b]because of the oppression of the enemy?

³Oh send out Your ^(G)light and Your truth, let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your ^(H)holy mountain
And to Your ^(I)dwelling places.
⁴Then I will go to ^(J)the altar of God,
To God ^[c]my exceeding ^(K)joy;
And upon the ^(L)lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God.

⁵^(M)Why are you ^[d]in despair, O my soul?
And why are you disturbed within me?
Wait for God, for I shall still praise Him,
The salvation of my presence and my God.

43 Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause
    against an ungodly people;
from deceitful and unjust men
    deliver me!
²For thou art the God in whom I take refuge;
    why hast thou cast me off?
Why go I mourning
    because of the oppression of the enemy?

³Oh send out thy light and thy truth;
    let them lead me,
let them bring me to thy holy hill
    and to thy dwelling!
⁴Then I will go to the altar of God,
    to God my exceeding joy;
and I will praise thee with the lyre,
    O God, my God.

⁵Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God.
