Sennacherib’s Defeat and Death^(A)

³⁶ Then the ^(B)angel^[a] of the Lord went out, and ^[b]killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.

^22 (A)My God sent His angel and ^(B)shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

²³ Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, ^(A)because he believed in his God.

¹⁹ But at night ^(A)an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,

⁷ Now behold, ^(A)an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.
