⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, ^(A)an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!”

¹⁹ that is, that ^(A)God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not ^[a]imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

²⁰ Now then, we are ^(B)ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For ^(C)He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become ^(D)the righteousness of God in Him.

⁵ And ^(A)in their mouth was found no ^[a]deceit, for ^(B)they are without fault ^[b]before the throne of God.

Our Inheritance Through Christ’s Blood

2 Therefore, ^(A)laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, ^2 (B)as newborn babes, desire the pure ^(C)milk of the word, that you may grow ^[a]thereby,

⁴ and does not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of meeting to offer an offering to the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord, the guilt of bloodshed shall be ^(A)imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be ^[a]cut off from among his people,

Paul’s Sincerity

¹² For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in ^[a]simplicity and ^(A)godly sincerity, ^(B)not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

¹³ (For until the law sin was in the world, but ^(A)sin is not imputed when there is no law.
