⁶ But I am a ^(A)worm and not a man,
A ^(B)reproach of men and ^(C)despised by the people.
⁷ All who see me ^[a](D)sneer at me;
They ^[b]separate with the lip, they ^(E)wag the head, saying,
⁸ “^[c]Commit yourself to the Lord; ^(F)let Him deliver him;
Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”

⁷ Because ^(A)for Your sake I have borne reproach;
^(B)Dishonor has covered my face.
⁸ I have become ^(C)estranged ^[a]from my brothers
And an alien to my mother’s sons.
⁹ For ^(D)zeal for Your house has consumed me,
And ^(E)the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
