20 May the Lord answer you in ·times [^Lthe day] of ·trouble [distress].
    May the name of the God of Jacob ·protect [defend; provide refuge for] you [Num. 6:24].
²May he send you help from ·his Temple [^Lthe sanctuary]
    and support you from Mount Zion [^Clocation of the Temple].
³May he remember all your ·offerings [gifts; tributes; grain offerings; Lev. 2]
    and ·accept [look with favor on] all your ·sacrifices [^Lwhole burnt offerings; Lev. 1]. ·Selah [Interlude]
