    apart from you I have no good thing.”^(D)

⁵ Lord, you alone are my portion^(A) and my cup;^(B)
    you make my lot^(C) secure.

⁷ I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;^(A)
    even at night^(B) my heart instructs me.
⁸ I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand,^(C) I will not be shaken.^(D)

⁹ Therefore my heart is glad^(E) and my tongue rejoices;
    my body also will rest secure,^(F)
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,^(G)
    nor will you let your faithful^[a] one^(H) see decay.^(I)
11 You make known to me the path of life;^(J)
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,^(K)
    with eternal pleasures^(L) at your right hand.^(M)
