Sing to the Lord a New Song
149 (A)Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord (B)a new song,
his praise in (C)the assembly of the godly!
2 Let Israel (D)be glad in (E)his Maker;
let the children of Zion rejoice in their (F)King!
3 Let them praise his name with (G)dancing,
making melody to him with (H)tambourine and (I)lyre!
4 For the Lord (J)takes pleasure in his people;
he (K)adorns the humble with salvation.
5 Let the godly exult in glory;
let them (L)sing for joy on their (M)beds.
6 Let (N)the high praises of God be in their throats
and (O)two-edged swords in their hands,
7 to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with (P)chains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
9 to execute on them the judgment (Q)written!
(R)This is honor for all his godly ones.

Canten al SEÑOR una canción nueva;
alábenlo en la comunidad de los fieles.
2 Israel, alégrate por tu Creador.
Habitantes de Sion, alégrense con su Rey.
3 Que alaben a Dios con danzas y bellas melodías,
al ritmo de panderos e instrumentos de cuerda.
4 El SEÑOR es feliz con su pueblo;
les da a los humildes el honor de la victoria.
5 Que se alegren los fieles por su gloria;
que hasta en su cama griten de alegría.
6 Que salgan de su garganta alabanzas a Dios;
y tengan en su mano una espada de dos filos,
7 para vengarse de los pueblos
y castigar a las naciones,
8 para encadenar a los reyes
y a los poderosos con grillos de hierro.
9 Que los castiguen tal como Dios lo ordenó.
