¹⁷ If anyone wants to do his will,^(A) he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own.

¹⁵ The spiritual person, however, can evaluate^[a] everything, and yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone.

⁵ Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God – who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly – and it will be given to him.^(A)

²⁰ But you have an anointing^(A) from the Holy One,^(B) and all of you know the truth.^[a]

²⁷ As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need anyone to teach you. Instead, his anointing teaches you about all things^(A) and is true and is not a lie; just as it has taught you,^[a] remain in him.^(B)
