Psalm 116:13
English Standard Version
Psalm 116:5-19
English Standard Version
5 (A)Gracious is the Lord, and (B)righteous;
our God is (C)merciful.
6 The Lord preserves (D)the simple;
when (E)I was brought low, he saved me.
7 Return, O my soul, to your (F)rest;
for the Lord has (G)dealt bountifully with you.
8 For (H)you have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling;
9 I will walk before the Lord
(I)in the land of the living.
10 (J)I believed, (K)even when[a] I spoke:
“I am greatly afflicted”;
11 (L)I said in my alarm,
(M)“All mankind are liars.”
12 What shall I (N)render to the Lord
for all his benefits to me?
13 I will lift up (O)the cup of salvation
and (P)call on the name of the Lord,
14 I will (Q)pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people.
15 (R)Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his (S)saints.
16 O Lord, I am your (T)servant;
I am your servant, (U)the son of your maidservant.
You have (V)loosed my bonds.
17 I will (W)offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving
and (X)call on the name of the Lord.
18 I will (Y)pay my vows to the Lord
in the presence of all his people,
19 in (Z)the courts of the house of the Lord,
in your midst, O Jerusalem.
(AA)Praise the Lord!
