¹⁴ 
But lusted intensely in the wilderness
And tempted God [with their insistent desires] in the desert.^(A)
15 
So He gave them their request,
But sent a wasting disease among them.^(B)

They envied Moses in the camp,
And Aaron [the high priest], the holy one of the Lord,^(C)
