Psalm 103:8-14

New King James Version

⁸^(A)The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
⁹^(B)He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
¹⁰^(C)He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities.

¹¹For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
¹²As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He ^(D)removed our transgressions from us.
¹³^(E)As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
¹⁴For He ^[a]knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.

Our Compassionate High Priest

¹⁴Seeing then that we have a great ^(A)High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, ^(B)let us hold fast our confession. ¹⁵For ^(C)we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but ^(D)was in all points tempted as we are, ^(E)yet without sin. ¹⁶^(F)Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
