³ Know that ^(A)the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who ^(B)made us, and ^(C)we are his;^[a]
    we are his ^(D)people, and ^(E)the sheep of his pasture.

² Let Israel ^(A)be glad in ^(B)his Maker;
    let the children of Zion rejoice in their ^(C)King!

⁶ Do you thus repay the Lord,
    you foolish and senseless people?
Is not he ^(A)your father, who ^(B)created you,
    who ^(C)made you and established you?

¹⁵ “But ^(A)Jeshurun grew fat, and ^(B)kicked;
    ^(C)you grew fat, stout, and sleek;
^(D)then he forsook God ^(E)who made him
    and scoffed at ^(F)the Rock of his salvation.

¹⁸ You were unmindful of ^(A)the Rock that bore^[a] you,
    and you ^(B)forgot the God who gave you birth.
