³ And ^(A)the tempter came and said to him, “If you are ^(B)the Son of God, command ^(C)these stones to become loaves of bread.” ⁴ But he answered, ^(D)“It is written,

^5 (F)Then the devil took him to ^(G)the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple ⁶ and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,

and

⁷ Jesus said to him, “Again ^(I)it is written, ^(J)‘You shall not ^(K)put the Lord your God to the test.’” ^8 (L)Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. ⁹ And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” ¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, ^(M)Satan! For ^(N)it is written,

³³ But ^(A)seek first ^(B)the kingdom of God and his righteousness, ^(C)and all these things will be added to you.

¹² The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, ^(A)to give the rain to your land in its season and ^(B)to bless all the work of your hands. And ^(C)you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

^18 (A)as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
