Proverbs 7:22-24
1599 Geneva Bible
22 And he followed her straightway, as an [a]ox that goeth to the slaughter, and [b]as a fool to the stocks for correction,
23 Till a dart strike through his liver, as a bird hasteth to the snare, not knowing that [c]he is in danger.
24 ¶ Hear me now therefore, O children, and hearken to the words of my mouth.

New International Version
22 All at once he followed her
like an ox going to the slaughter,
like a deer[a] stepping into a noose[b](A)
23 till an arrow pierces(B) his liver,
like a bird darting into a snare,
little knowing it will cost him his life.(C)
