Proverbs 27:16-18

¹⁶Stopping her is like stopping the wind.
It’s like trying to grab oil in your hand.

¹⁷Iron can sharpen iron.
In the same way, people can help each other.

¹⁸The person who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit.
And the person who takes care of his master will be honored.

¹⁶restraining her is like restraining the wind
or grasping oil with the hand.

¹⁷As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another.

¹⁸The one who guards a fig tree will eat its fruit,^(A)
and whoever protects their master will be honored.^(B)
