Proverbs 16:2-4

²All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but Jehovah weigheth the spirits.

³Commit thy works unto Jehovah, and thy thoughts shall be established.

⁴Jehovah hath wrought everything on his own account, yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

²All the ways of a man are pure in his own ^(A)eyes,
But the Lord weighs the spirits.

³^(B)Commit^[a] your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established.

⁴The ^(C)Lord has made all for Himself,
^(D)Yes, even the wicked for the day of ^[b]doom.

²All a person’s ways seem pure to them,^(A)
but motives are weighed^(B) by the Lord.^(C)

³Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.^(D)

⁴The Lord works out everything to its proper end^(E)—
even the wicked for a day of disaster.^(F)
