7 Only the good can give good advice. Rebels can’t.
8 The Lord hates the gifts of the wicked but delights in the prayers of his people.

6 The house of the righteous contains great treasure,(A)
but the income of the wicked brings ruin.(B)
7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge,(C)
but the hearts of fools are not upright.

6 In the house of the righteous there is much treasure,
But in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.
7 The lips of the wise [a]disperse knowledge,
But the heart of the fool does not do so.
8 (A)The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
