Proverbs 15:6-8

⁶There is treasure in being good, but trouble dogs the wicked.

⁷Only the good can give good advice. Rebels can’t.

⁸The Lord hates the gifts of the wicked but delights in the prayers of his people.

Proverbs 15:6-8

New International Version

⁶The house of the righteous contains great treasure,^(A)
but the income of the wicked brings ruin.^(B)

⁷The lips of the wise spread knowledge,^(C)
but the hearts of fools are not upright.

⁸The Lord detests the sacrifice^(D) of the wicked,^(E)
but the prayer of the upright pleases him.^(F)

⁶In the house of the righteous there is much treasure,
But in the revenue of the wicked is trouble.

⁷The lips of the wise ^[a]disperse knowledge,
But the heart of the fool does not do so.

⁸^(A)The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
