Proverbs 13:9-11

⁹ The light of the righteous shines brightly,^(A)
but the lamp of the wicked is put out.^(B)

¹⁰ Arrogance leads to nothing but strife,^(C)
but wisdom is gained by those who take advice.

¹¹ Wealth obtained by fraud will dwindle,^(D)
but whoever earns it through labor^[a] will multiply it.^(E)
