Proverbs 13:17-19

17 A wicked messenger ·brings nothing but trouble [or will fall into evil],
but a ·trustworthy [reliable] ·one [envoy] ·makes everything right [L brings healing].
18 A person who ·refuses [neglects] ·correction [instruction; discipline] will end up poor and disgraced,
but the one who ·accepts [L guards] correction will be honored.
19 ·It is so good when wishes come true [L A realized longing/desire is pleasant],
but fools ·hate [detest] ·to stop doing [turning from] evil.

17 A wicked messenger falls into evil, but a faithful ambassador brings healing.
18 Poverty and shame come to him who refuses instruction and correction, but he who heeds reproof is honored.
19 Satisfied desire is sweet to a person; therefore it is hateful and exceedingly offensive to [self-confident] fools to give up evil [upon which they have set their hearts].
