Proverbs 11:8-10

⁸The righteous one is rescued from trouble;
in his place, the wicked one goes in.^(A)

⁹With his mouth the ungodly destroys his neighbor,
but through knowledge the righteous are rescued.

¹⁰When the righteous thrive, a city rejoices,^(B)
and when the wicked die, there is joyful shouting.

⁸The righteous person is rescued from trouble,
and it falls on the wicked instead.^(A)

⁹With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors,
but through knowledge the righteous escape.^(B)

¹⁰When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices;^(C)
when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy.^(D)

⁸The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

⁹An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

¹⁰When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
