Proverbs 10:8-10

⁸The wise man is glad to be instructed, but a self-sufficient fool falls flat on his face.

⁹A good man has firm footing, but a crook will slip and fall.

¹⁰Winking at sin leads to sorrow; bold reproof leads to peace.

Proverbs 10:8-10

New International Version

⁸The wise in heart accept commands,
but a chattering fool comes to ruin.^(A)

⁹Whoever walks in integrity^(B) walks securely,^(C)
but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.^(D)

¹⁰Whoever winks maliciously^(E) causes grief,
and a chattering fool comes to ruin.

⁸The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

⁹He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

¹⁰He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
