我的心渴想 神,就是永活的 神;

應當等候 神;

Psalms 42–72

Psalm 42[a][b]

For the director of music. A maskil[c] of the Sons of Korah.

As the deer(A) pants for streams of water,(B)
so my soul pants(C) for you, my God.
My soul thirsts(D) for God, for the living God.(E)
When can I go(F) and meet with God?
My tears(G) have been my food
    day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
    “Where is your God?”(H)
These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:(I)
how I used to go to the house of God(J)
under the protection of the Mighty One[d]
with shouts of joy(K) and praise(L)
    among the festive throng.(M)

Why, my soul, are you downcast?(N)
    Why so disturbed(O) within me?
Put your hope in God,(P)
for I will yet praise(Q) him,
    my Savior(R) and my God.(S)

避難城(A)

40 The Canaanite king(A) of Arad,(B) who lived in the Negev(C) of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.

41 They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.

42 They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

43 They left Punon and camped at Oboth.(D)

44 They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, on the border of Moab.(E)

45 They left Iye Abarim and camped at Dibon Gad.

46 They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim.

47 They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim,(F) near Nebo.(G)

48 They left the mountains of Abarim(H) and camped on the plains of Moab(I) by the Jordan(J) across from Jericho.(K) 49 There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth(L) to Abel Shittim.(M)

50 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho(N) the Lord said to Moses, 51 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,(O) 52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.(P) 53 Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.(Q) 54 Distribute the land by lot,(R) according to your clans.(S) To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one.(T) Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes.(U)

55 “‘But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns(V) in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. 56 And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.(W)’”

Boundaries of Canaan

34 The Lord said to Moses, “Command the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter Canaan,(X) the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance(Y) is to have these boundaries:(Z)

“‘Your southern side will include some of the Desert of Zin(AA) along the border of Edom. Your southern boundary will start in the east from the southern end of the Dead Sea,(AB) cross south of Scorpion Pass,(AC) continue on to Zin and go south of Kadesh Barnea.(AD) Then it will go to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon,(AE) where it will turn, join the Wadi of Egypt(AF) and end at the Mediterranean Sea.

“‘Your western boundary will be the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.(AG) This will be your boundary on the west.(AH)

“‘For your northern boundary,(AI) run a line from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor(AJ) and from Mount Hor to Lebo Hamath.(AK) Then the boundary will go to Zedad, continue to Ziphron and end at Hazar Enan. This will be your boundary on the north.

10 “‘For your eastern boundary,(AL) run a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham. 11 The boundary will go down from Shepham to Riblah(AM) on the east side of Ain(AN) and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Galilee.[a](AO) 12 Then the boundary will go down along the Jordan and end at the Dead Sea.

“‘This will be your land, with its boundaries on every side.’”

13 Moses commanded the Israelites: “Assign this land by lot(AP) as an inheritance.(AQ) The Lord has ordered that it be given to the nine and a half tribes, 14 because the families of the tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.(AR) 15 These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance east of the Jordan across from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”

16 The Lord said to Moses, 17 “These are the names of the men who are to assign the land for you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua(AS) son of Nun. 18 And appoint one leader from each tribe to help(AT) assign the land.(AU) 19 These are their names:(AV)

Caleb(AW) son of Jephunneh,

from the tribe of Judah;(AX)

20 Shemuel son of Ammihud,

from the tribe of Simeon;(AY)

21 Elidad son of Kislon,

from the tribe of Benjamin;(AZ)

22 Bukki son of Jogli,

the leader from the tribe of Dan;

23 Hanniel son of Ephod,

the leader from the tribe of Manasseh(BA) son of Joseph;

24 Kemuel son of Shiphtan,

the leader from the tribe of Ephraim(BB) son of Joseph;

25 Elizaphan son of Parnak,

the leader from the tribe of Zebulun;(BC)

26 Paltiel son of Azzan,

the leader from the tribe of Issachar;

27 Ahihud son of Shelomi,

the leader from the tribe of Asher;(BD)

28 Pedahel son of Ammihud,

the leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”

29 These are the men the Lord commanded to assign the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.(BE)

Towns for the Levites

35 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho,(BF) the Lord said to Moses, “Command the Israelites to give the Levites towns to live in(BG) from the inheritance the Israelites will possess. And give them pasturelands(BH) around the towns. Then they will have towns to live in and pasturelands for the cattle they own and all their other animals.(BI)

“The pasturelands around the towns that you give the Levites will extend a thousand cubits[b] from the town wall. Outside the town, measure two thousand cubits[c](BJ) on the east side, two thousand on the south side, two thousand on the west and two thousand on the north, with the town in the center. They will have this area as pastureland for the towns.(BK)

Cities of Refuge(BL)

“Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone may flee.(BM) In addition, give them forty-two other towns. In all you must give the Levites forty-eight towns, together with their pasturelands. The towns you give the Levites from the land the Israelites possess are to be given in proportion to the inheritance of each tribe: Take many towns from a tribe that has many, but few from one that has few.”(BN)

Then the Lord said to Moses: 10 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,(BO) 11 select some towns to be your cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone(BP) accidentally(BQ) may flee. 12 They will be places of refuge from the avenger,(BR) so that anyone accused of murder(BS) may not die before they stand trial before the assembly.(BT) 13 These six towns you give will be your cities of refuge.(BU) 14 Give three on this side of the Jordan and three in Canaan as cities of refuge. 15 These six towns will be a place of refuge for Israelites and for foreigners residing among them, so that anyone who has killed another accidentally can flee there.

16 “‘If anyone strikes someone a fatal blow with an iron object, that person is a murderer; the murderer is to be put to death.(BV) 17 Or if anyone is holding a stone and strikes someone a fatal blow with it, that person is a murderer; the murderer is to be put to death. 18 Or if anyone is holding a wooden object and strikes someone a fatal blow with it, that person is a murderer; the murderer is to be put to death. 19 The avenger of blood(BW) shall put the murderer to death; when the avenger comes upon the murderer, the avenger shall put the murderer to death.(BX) 20 If anyone with malice aforethought shoves another or throws something at them intentionally(BY) so that they die 21 or if out of enmity one person hits another with their fist so that the other dies, that person is to be put to death;(BZ) that person is a murderer. The avenger of blood(CA) shall put the murderer to death when they meet.

22 “‘But if without enmity someone suddenly pushes another or throws something at them unintentionally(CB) 23 or, without seeing them, drops on them a stone heavy enough to kill them, and they die, then since that other person was not an enemy and no harm was intended, 24 the assembly(CC) must judge between the accused and the avenger of blood according to these regulations. 25 The assembly must protect the one accused of murder from the avenger of blood and send the accused back to the city of refuge to which they fled. The accused must stay there until the death of the high priest,(CD) who was anointed(CE) with the holy oil.(CF)

26 “‘But if the accused ever goes outside the limits of the city of refuge to which they fled 27 and the avenger of blood finds them outside the city, the avenger of blood may kill the accused without being guilty of murder. 28 The accused must stay in the city of refuge until the death of the high priest; only after the death of the high priest may they return to their own property.

29 “‘This is to have the force of law(CG) for you throughout the generations to come,(CH) wherever you live.(CI)

30 “‘Anyone who kills a person is to be put to death as a murderer only on the testimony of witnesses. But no one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.(CJ)

31 “‘Do not accept a ransom(CK) for the life of a murderer, who deserves to die. They are to be put to death.

32 “‘Do not accept a ransom for anyone who has fled to a city of refuge and so allow them to go back and live on their own land before the death of the high priest.

33 “‘Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land,(CL) and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it. 34 Do not defile the land(CM) where you live and where I dwell,(CN) for I, the Lord, dwell among the Israelites.’”

Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy(A)

12 While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy.[a](B) When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

13 Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.

14 Then Jesus ordered him, “Don’t tell anyone,(C) but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded(D) for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”

15 Yet the news about him spread all the more,(E) so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. 16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.(F)

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man(G)

17 One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law(H) were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.(I) 18 Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. 19 When they could not find a way to do this because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.

20 When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.”(J)

21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, “Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”(K)

22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? 23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man(L) has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. 26 Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God.(M) They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”

Jesus Calls Levi and Eats With Sinners(N)

27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,”(O) Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.(P)
