38 Preotul Aaron(A) s-a suit pe muntele Hor, după porunca Domnului, şi a murit acolo, în al patruzecilea an după ieşirea copiilor lui Israel din ţara Egiptului, în luna a cincea, în cea dintâi zi a lunii. 39 Aaron era în vârstă de o sută douăzeci şi trei de ani când a murit pe muntele Hor. 40 Împăratul Aradului, Canaanitul, care locuia în partea de miazăzi(B) a ţării Canaanului, a aflat de sosirea copiilor lui Israel.

38 At the Lord’s command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died(A) on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year(B) after the Israelites came out of Egypt.(C) 39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 The Canaanite king(D) of Arad,(E) who lived in the Negev(F) of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.
