5-7 Er zullen verschillende trompetsignalen nodig zijn om onderscheid te maken tussen het sein “verzamelen” en “opbreken en verder trekken”. Als het vertreksignaal wordt geblazen, moeten de stammen die aan de oostkant van de tabernakel hun kamp hebben, het eerst vertrekken. Bij het volgende signaal vertrekken de stammen aan de zuidkant. Alleen de priesters mogen de trompet blazen. Dit is een vaste instelling die van generatie op generatie moet worden nageleefd. Wanneer u aankomt in het beloofde land en oorlog voert tegen uw vijanden, zal de Here u horen en u te hulp komen als u in nood alarm blaast op de trompetten.

To gather the assembly, blow the trumpets,(A) but not with the signal for setting out.(B)

“The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come.(C) When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you,(D) sound a blast on the trumpets.(E) Then you will be remembered(F) by the Lord your God and rescued from your enemies.(G)
