9 But to the descendants[a] of Kohath he did not give anything because the work of the sanctuary they carried upon them on their shoulders.[b]
10 The leaders presented offerings for the dedication of the altar on the day of its anointing, and the leaders presented their offerings before[c] the altar. 11 Yahweh said to Moses, “One leader for each day[d] will present their offering for the dedication of the altar.”

9 But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.
10 And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.
11 And the Lord said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.

9 But Moses did not give any to the Kohathites,(A) because they were to carry on their shoulders(B) the holy things, for which they were responsible.
10 When the altar was anointed,(C) the leaders brought their offerings for its dedication(D) and presented them before the altar. 11 For the Lord had said to Moses, “Each day one leader is to bring his offering for the dedication of the altar.”
