⁵ “You must not cut his hair^[a] throughout the time of his vow of consecration. He must be holy until the time is completed during which he consecrates himself to the Lord; he is to let the hair of his head grow long.

⁶ For you are a holy people^(A) belonging to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be His own possession^(B) out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

² for you are a holy people belonging to the Lord your God. The Lord has chosen you to be His own possession^(A) out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

²¹ “You are not to eat any carcass; you may give it to a temporary resident living within your gates, and he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a holy people belonging to the Lord your God. You must not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.

¹⁹ that He will elevate you to praise, fame, and glory above all the nations He has made, and that you will be a holy people^(A) to the Lord your God as He promised.”

³ He said to the Levites who taught all Israel^(A) the holy things of the Lord, “Put the holy ark in the temple built by Solomon son of David king of Israel. Since you do not have to carry it on your shoulders,^(B) now serve Yahweh your God and His people Israel.
