² “Command the sons of Israel that they ^(A)send away from the camp every leper and everyone having a ^(B)discharge and everyone who is ^[a](C)unclean because of a dead person. ³ You shall send away both male and female; you shall send them outside the camp so that they will not defile their camp where I dwell ^(D)in their midst.”

¹⁴ But Yahweh said to Moses, “If her father had but ^(A)spit in her face, would she not bear her dishonor for seven days? Let her be shut up for seven days ^(B)outside the camp, and afterward she may be received again.” ¹⁵ So ^(C)Miriam was shut up outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not set out until Miriam was received again.

^21 (A)So King Uzziah was a leper to the day of his death; and he lived in ^(B)a separate house, being a leper, for he was cut off from the house of Yahweh. And Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.
