⁵² you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from you, and ^(A)destroy all their idolatrous sculptures, destroy all their cast metal images, and eliminate all their high places;

⁵ But this is what you shall do to them: ^(A)you shall tear down their altars, smash their memorial stones, cut their ^[a]Asherim to pieces, and burn their carved images in the fire.

² and as for you, ^(A)you shall not make a covenant with the inhabitants of this land; ^(B)you shall tear down their altars.’ But you have not ^[a]obeyed Me; what is this thing that you have done?
