“The oracle of Balaam, the son of Beor,
    the oracle of one whose eye is opened.^[a]
⁴The oracle of one who hears the words of God,
    who sees a vision of the Almighty;
    who falls down, with eyes wide open.
⁵How pleasant are your tents, O Jacob,
    and your dwelling places, O Israel.
