⁹ Now a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and put them outside the camp in a clean place, and ^[a]the congregation of the sons of Israel shall keep them for ^(A)water to remove impurity; it is ^[b]purification from sin.

¹⁷ Then for the unclean person they shall take some of the ^[a]ashes of the ^[b]burnt ^[c](A)purification from sin and ^[d]running water shall be ^[e]added to them in a container.
