Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the (A)rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds. Then Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord to all the children of Israel; and they looked, and each man took his rod.

10 And the Lord said to Moses, “Bring (B)Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony, to be kept (C)as a sign against the rebels, (D)that you may put their complaints away from Me, lest they die.”

Moses then brought out all the staffs from the presence of the Lord to all the sons of Israel; and they looked, and each man took his staff. 10 But the Lord said to Moses, “Put the staff of Aaron (B)back in front of the testimony [a]to be kept as a sign against the [b](C)rebels, so that you may put an end to their grumblings against Me and they do not die.”

The next day Moses entered the tent(A) and saw that Aaron’s staff,(B) which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.(C) Then Moses brought out all the staffs(D) from the Lord’s presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.

10 The Lord said to Moses, “Put back Aaron’s staff(E) in front of the ark of the covenant law, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious.(F) This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die.”
