42 Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, by their families, by the Houses of their fathers—according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, all that went to the war—

43 the number of those of the tribe of Naphtali was fifty-three thousand four hundred.

44 These are the sums which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the Princes of Israel (twelve men, each representing the House of their fathers).

42 From the descendants of Naphtali:(A)

All the men twenty years old or more who were able to serve in the army were listed by name, according to the records of their clans and families. 43 The number from the tribe of Naphtali(B) was 53,400.(C)

44 These were the men counted by Moses and Aaron(D) and the twelve leaders of Israel, each one representing his family.

42 Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

43 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

44 These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.
