2 “Take the sum of all the Congregation of the children of Israel, after their families and households of their fathers, with the number of their names—all the males, man by man,
3 “from twenty years old and above—all that go forth to the war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them throughout their armies.
4 “And with you shall be men of every tribe, such as are the heads of the House of their fathers.

2 “Take a census(A) of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families,(B) listing every man by name,(C) one by one. 3 You and Aaron(D) are to count according to their divisions all the men in Israel who are twenty years old or more(E) and able to serve in the army.(F) 4 One man from each tribe,(G) each of them the head of his family,(H) is to help you.(I)
