⁶ The priest is to take some cedar wood, hyssop^(A) and scarlet wool^(B) and throw them onto the burning heifer.

⁴ the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop^(A) be brought for the person to be cleansed.^(B)

⁶ He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.^(A)

²³ It was necessary, then, for the copies^(G) of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
