²⁵ Finally, as the rear guard^(A) for all the units, the divisions of the camp of Dan set out under their standard. Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai^(B) was in command.

⁹ The armed guard marched ahead of the priests who blew the trumpets, and the rear guard^(A) followed the ark. All this time the trumpets were sounding.

¹⁷ Remember what the Amalekites^(A) did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. ¹⁸ When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and attacked all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.^(B)

These were the clans of Dan: ⁴³ All of them were Shuhamite clans; and those numbered were 64,400.

⁶⁶ On the tenth day Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai,^(A) the leader of the people of Dan, brought his offering.
