14 So You made known to them (A)Your holy sabbath,
And commanded to them commandments, statutes and law,
By the hand of Your servant Moses.
15 You (B)gave bread from heaven for them for their hunger,
You (C)brought forth water from a rock for them for their thirst,
And You (D)said to them to enter in order to possess
The land which You [a]swore to give them.
16 “But they, our fathers, (E)acted presumptuously;
They [b](F)became stiff-necked and would not listen to Your commandments.

14 You made known to them your holy Sabbath(A) and gave them commands, decrees and laws through your servant Moses. 15 In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven(B) and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock;(C) you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand(D) to give them.(E)
16 “But they, our ancestors, became arrogant and stiff-necked,(F) and they did not obey your commands.(G)
