26 De tempelknechten die op de heuvel Ofel woonden, repareerden de muur tot de oostelijk gelegen Waterpoort en de uitspringende toren. 27 Vanaf deze toren tot de muur van de Ofel waren mannen uit Tekoa aan het werk. 28 De priesters repareerden de muur vanaf de Paardepoort, ieder tegenover zijn eigen huis.

26 and the temple servants(A) living on the hill of Ophel(B) made repairs up to a point opposite the Water Gate(C) toward the east and the projecting tower. 27 Next to them, the men of Tekoa(D) repaired another section, from the great projecting tower(E) to the wall of Ophel.
28 Above the Horse Gate,(F) the priests made repairs, each in front of his own house.
