Esdras confiesa los pecados de Israel
9 El día veinticuatro del mismo mes, los israelitas volvieron a reunirse para ayunar, vestidos con ropas ásperas y con la cabeza cubierta de polvo. 2 Para entonces los israelitas ya habían apartado de sí a los hijos de extranjeros. Puestos de pie, los israelitas confesaron sus pecados y los de sus padres, 3 y así de pie, durante tres horas escucharon la lectura del libro de la ley del Señor su Dios, y durante las siguientes tres horas el pueblo confesó sus pecados y adoró al Señor.

9 El día veinticuatro del mismo mes, los israelitas se reunieron para ayunar; se vistieron con ropas ásperas y se echaron tierra sobre la cabeza, 2 y separándose de aquellos que descendían de extranjeros, se pusieron de pie y reconocieron sus propios pecados y los de sus antepasados. 3 Mientras permanecían en su lugar, durante tres horas se leyó públicamente el libro de la ley del Señor su Dios, y durante otras tres horas confesaron sus pecados y adoraron al Señor.

The Israelites Confess Their Sins
9 On the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Israelites gathered together, fasting and wearing sackcloth and putting dust on their heads.(A) 2 Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners.(B) They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the sins of their ancestors.(C) 3 They stood where they were and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day, and spent another quarter in confession and in worshiping the Lord their God.
