9 La herida de Samaria es incurable
y también ha llegado hasta Judá.
La destrucción ha tocado hasta la puerta de mi pueblo,
hasta Jerusalén.
10 No cuenten nada de esto en Gat[a];
no lloren por eso.
Revuélquense de dolor
en el polvo en Bet Leafrá[b].
11 Habitantes de Safir[c],
sigan su camino desnudos y avergonzados.
Los habitantes de Zanán[d]
no saldrán;
Bet Ésel[e] estará de luto
y les quitará su apoyo.

9 For Samaria’s plague(A) is incurable;(B)
it has spread to Judah.(C)
It has reached the very gate(D) of my people,
even to Jerusalem itself.
10 Tell it not in Gath[a];
weep not at all.
In Beth Ophrah[b]
roll in the dust.
11 Pass by naked(E) and in shame,
you who live in Shaphir.[c]
Those who live in Zaanan[d]
will not come out.
Beth Ezel is in mourning;
it no longer protects you.

11 Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

Beth Ezel mourns;
Its place to stand is taken away from you.
