Toate chipurile ei cioplite vor fi sfărâmate,

    în plată de prostituată se vor preface.

Plânset şi tânguire

Din pricina aceasta voi plânge şi mă voi tângui,
    voi umbla desculţ şi gol,
voi scoate strigăte precum şacalii
    şi voi jeli ca puii de struţ.
Căci rana[a] ei este de nevindecat;
    ea s-a întins până în Iuda,
a ajuns până la poarta poporului meu,
    până la Ierusalim.
