2 Après avoir jeûné 40 jours et 40 nuits, il eut faim. 3 Le tentateur s'approcha et lui dit: «Si tu es le Fils de Dieu, ordonne que ces pierres deviennent des pains.» 4 Jésus répondit: «Il est écrit: L'homme ne vivra pas de pain seulement, mais de toute parole qui sort de la bouche de Dieu.[a]»

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
