Matthew Called

^9 (A)As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called ^(B)Matthew sitting in the tax collector’s office; and He *said to him, “^(C)Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.

Levi (Matthew) Called

^14 (A)As He passed by, He saw ^[a](B)Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting in the tax office, and He *said to him, “^(C)Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.

⁵⁹ And He said to another, “^(A)Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.”

⁶⁰ But He said to him, “Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and ^(A)proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God.”

^43 (A)The next day He ^[a]decided to go to ^(B)Galilee, and He *found ^(C)Philip. And Jesus *said to him, “^(D)Follow Me.”

¹⁹ Now He said this, ^(A)indicating by ^(B)what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had said this, He *said to him, “^(C)Follow Me!”
