⁴ And Jesus, ^(A)perceiving their thoughts, said, “Why are you thinking evil in your hearts?

⁴² He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of ^[a](A)John; you shall be called ^(B)Cephas” (which is translated ^[b](C)Peter).

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, “Here is truly an ^(A)Israelite, in whom there is no deceit!”

⁶¹ But Jesus, ^(A)aware that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them, “Is this ^[a](B)offensive to you?

⁶⁴ But there are ^(A)some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus ^(B)knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and ^(C)who it was who would ^[a]betray Him.

¹¹ For ^(A)He knew the one who was betraying Him; it was for this reason that He said, “Not all of you are clean.”
