³⁷ Then He said to His disciples, ^(A)“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

^38 (A)Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

³⁰ Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but ^(A)gather the wheat into my barn.” ’ ”

³⁹ The enemy who sowed them is the devil, ^(A)the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

²⁹ But when the grain ripens, immediately ^(A)he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

² Then He said to them, ^(A)“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore ^(B)pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

³⁵ Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes ^(A)the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, ^(B)for they are already white for harvest!

Reaping the Earth’s Harvest

¹⁴ Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another angel ^(A)came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ^(B)“Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come ^[a]for You to reap, for the harvest ^(C)of the earth is ripe.”
